Soar TSD Training 4/7 Mar

This Week’s Training

7535986_orig.jpgThis week I want to work on line drills moving up and down the floor demonstrating various techniques. The goal is the feel the weight and movement of your body creating the most power with the most efficient use of energy possible. I also want to add to our form set; we have been working on Sae Kye Hyung Il Bu. I would like to add Sae Kye Hyung E Bu – note the minor differences. I would also like to see every one demonstrate their first two one steps in Hands, Kicking, and Grabbing.

Training Schedule
1800-1830: Children’s Class (5-10 year old)
1830-1930: Adult and Adolescent Class (10 years to Adult)

Attitude Requirements to Master Tang Soo Do (1 – 14)
1. Purpose of training should be the enhancement of mental and physical betterment.
2. Serious Approach.

Meditation for the Week

Indomitable Spirit: Indomitable spirit is a hard tenet to grasp. From this tenet comes the strength to not just persevere, but to rise above one’s Self. American revolutionary Thomas Paine A_Black_Belt_grandedescribe the indomitable spirit as “the man that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress and grow brave by reflection. It is the business of littleminds to shrink, but he whose heart is firm and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles to death.” Don’t Quit!  Press on to the greater goal. Run the race laid before you with honor. “Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone [even the rude], and especially to those who are of the household of faith.” (Galatians 6:9–10)

My son is 4.5, do you have any kids younger than 5 in the program? I know it says 5-10 but sometimes younger kids end up jointing classes because of older siblings so I am curious. We already have a uniform. My son had just started taking classes before we had to pcs and he loved it.

    • Ms. Boehler, your son can try it out to see if he is a good fit. What’s great about our program is that parents are welcomed and encouraged to do the class with their child. Soar TSD provides a unique bonding experience. Follow the link (at the top) for Events and Download. Select the waiver PDF and fill out one for each person participating. Next class is Thursday at 1800.
