The idea of concentration is to devote your attention, thought, and focus to an activity or subject, but be aware of what you allow to gain your concentration. You will respond to what you focus on.
It takes a great deal of concentration or focus to practice, workout, study, or do anything consistently without someone telling you to. Concentration has to be exercised to do your best at anything thing set before you. To be an expert, you have to be able to concentrate keeping constant awareness of every tiny detail until it becomes second nature. The godly life takes this kind of consistent concentration too. The work of concentration will glorify God. Deuteronomy 6 tells us how we practice this type of concentration:
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.”Deuteronomy 6:4–7
Now get to work, and concentrate!
