PRIMARY NOTICE: We are fully operational again! I look forward to seeing each of you in training this week. Our next Belt Test is June 8 (Tuesday). that is less than two months, so this will require hard work and a dedication to complete you Soar 100 challenges (6 needed). Striping week will be 10-11 May and 17-18 May. Remember all dates are subject to change depending on the Garrison Chaplain’s requirements for facilities and/or unit training requirements.
This Week’s training is Kicking (Jok Ki). We will work on both the Kicking one-steps and our various kick techniques (ie. defensive kicks, flying kicks, tornado kicks, 360º kicks, jumping kicks, stepping kicks and the 6-point kick, which are all built of the 5 basic kicks).
Jok Ki (Kicking Techniques) are characteristic of Korean Martial Arts. In the world of karate, Tang Soo Do’s differences are most apparent in kicking: dynamic, high, and arial. A flying side klick is on our association flag and seal! We will work on and review our basic kicks including those in jumping and spinning form.
Class Schedule is Mondays & Tuesdays
1730-1800: ages 5-10 (Little Dragons)
1800-1900: ages 10 to Adult (Warriors)
We are located at the Spirit of Fort Hood Chapel Gym
